Group work with other interns on mock projects + billable work from your line manager ranging from reports to CAD work + CPD related activities including online talks and presentations.

I had a lot of support not only from my line manager but from other colleagues who were always approachable. You need to be willing and confident enough to ask questions.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Hybrid working environment so I split my time between multiple offices (namely London) where socials with other interns and colleagues were. My line manager and I came in to our local office at least once a week which was a good way to split up the week.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I loved my internship as it enabled me to be at home with family (having come back from University) and still gain valuable industry experience. We had the chance to visit HS2 on a site visit and it was great to meet and work with the other interns on a regular basis.

What advice would you give to others applying to Arcadis

Don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for work. The larger offices like London tend to have the social events more frequently, so if you can, try and make the trip because it's great fun.
