Process improvement and project management:
Taking existing platforms, processes, tools and procedures and making them easier to use for those in client service, as well as those behind the scenes.

Yes, I was the owner of my project that I took from start to finish in my nine weeks. I was in charge of my own calendar and priorities. I ran meetings and was responsible for setting up those for information I needed. I did, however, always have the support of my manager in this.

Plenty of support and guidance. I had a mentor who was a current graduate on the program that the internship can lead into. I also had a senior mentor who was a more senior member of the business. I had the support of HR and the recruiter. The early careers team and a young/ developing talent committee held office hours and events that left an open space to go to for support. My manager and my team were also incredibly supportive. Everyone in the office is super willing to meet with you and give advice, regardless of whether they sit in the same line of business as your internship.

Incredibly friendly!!! Everyone wants to get to know you and offer support and advice. The atmosphere in Bournemouth is great and the campus is absolutely beautiful. It is not the overworking culture you may picture. Health and wellbeing is pushed as the first priority, and support/ flexibility is always there if you need it. There are groups dedicated to the environment, pride, veterans, certain cultures/ communities, etc that always hold events. Paid volunteer leave is encouraged to be taken.

It was an amazing and fulfilling experience that provided me with so many important skills, in a super friendly environment.

Yes
