EMEA Summer Intern (Global Finance & Business Management Analyst) Review

My role involved validating the Profit and Loss of traders and explaining what the profit was driven by and investigating any discrepancies between traders and product control. Additionally, I monitored the risk related to the traders positions and trades through greek symbols to explain the drivers. I also performed other adhoc tasks related to product control.

Developed technical skills through excel, powerpoint, alteryx, VBA, and other product control specific applications. I also strengthened my soft skills through interacting with employees, networking, and through video conference calls. Additionally, I learned how to be a proper professional and the do's and dont's of making it in a professional organization.

I was given guidance directly from the colleagues in my direct team and my line manager. Furthermore, JP Morgan staff, from any department are always open to assist in any way which you see fit.
