I was assisting with daily BAUs in Fixed Income Financing Product Control team. My tasks were related to Balance Sheet.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
It was moderate amount. I took ownership of the results, but I could always reach out to colleagues to ask them to verify the outcome.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I'd say it was a good amount. I had time to complete trainings on my own, but my team colleagues showed me how to do tasks, explained to me what my role is about, the importance of the job etc. I had many additional meetings from other departments, providing an overview of their job responsibilities.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture is very welcoming, it's possible to reach out to anyone within the firm and have a quick chat. People are open to meet one another and talk, which creates a positive environment

Be open, welcoming, and authentic. There's no need to portray yourself as overly professional or a genius. Being human is valued at JPMorgan. Focus on having a solid understanding of your industry and the specific area you're applying for, and ensure you're well-prepared on current market events.
