Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I worked in affordable housing valuations. This involved valuing a range of different residential properties in and around London. Typical day-to-day tasks included market research, report writing, property appraisals, calling agents and researching current policies and trends.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given various work to do and wrote a report that was sent out directly to a client so I would say a fair amount of responsibility.

Received loads of support. As interns we were given buddies, training sessions, line managers and a structured program for our 6-weeks. Everyone was incredibly helpful and attentive

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
JLL is a massive community, everyone respects and appreciates one another. The general atmosphere is very friendly and forgiving with a hybrid working structure. Many internal clubs to join and a great café within the office to go to for lunch.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
Thoroughly enjoyed my internship, I gained such a big insight into the real estate industry and the next steps for my career in terms of graduate routes, APC training and masters. Networked and connected with many other interns and graduates in different teams within JLL which was invaluable in the sense of gathering a bigger picture of JLL and different career routes.

What advice would you give to others applying to JLL
Ensure you have researched the real estate industry when applying for JLL. Research current market trends, policies, global situations, future trends etc.. Have an opinion on market situations and solidify why you want to work in real estate specifically. Your enthusiasm, positive attitude, and attention to detail often carry more weight than your previous experience.
