Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Checking in customers writing up rental contracts, closing contracts down, checking over and driving vehicles to deliveries. Sales of protections and fuel, marketing in and out of the work place in local communities and captaincy roles.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, each month I was given a captaincy role where I was in charge of this sector of the branch development, as well as running the branch on a few days delegating roles and cars to contracts.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

My confidence has definitely sky rocketed during this placement as I have massively put myself out there and tried to get as involved with everything as possible.
Sales and marketing skill have also improved and I have grown further with my existing customer service skills

Lots, I had at all times a branch manager area manager and assistant manager there for help support and guidance, as well as a mentor who was there whenever I needed

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The genera atmosphere is good as there is a community of young people all wanting to be successful in their careers doing something they enjoy, the company culture definitely includes long hours and an expectation for this especially in the branches at the trainee and assistant levels

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I for the most part really enjoyed this placement, I definitely will be taking a lot of knowledge back to uni that I will be able to use in my final year and in my career, at times the hours and over time can be over bearing and draining due to staff shortages and lots of work
