Organizing social media updates, assisting with podcast editing, website development, and event management.
Supporting Business Development (BD) teams on new business proposals.
Conducting desktop research to identify potential business development opportunities.
Updating key marketing materials to ensure they were ready for client use at events, meetings, and pitches.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
New Skills Learned:
Data Analytics Tools and Application: While I had an aptitude for marketing and business development, the role specifically involved "preparing data analytics to better understand the performance of each practice area" and "producing league table analysis for each Global Business Unit". This involved learning how to use specific software programs for analytical purposes that I was not previously familiar with.
Digital Marketing Operations: I gained practical experience in "organising social media updates, podcast editing, website development and event management". This provided hands-on exposure to the operational side of digital marketing within a professional services context.
Strategic Research for Business Development: The task of "desktop research to support the identification of potential business development opportunities" developed my ability to conduct targeted research with a commercial objective.
Existing Skills Developed:
Communication Skills: My role involved "access to several stakeholders across the London office" and working with "key stakeholders to ensure lawyers' CVs and website profiles are up to date". This significantly enhanced my professional communication, both written and verbal.
Research Skills: While I had existing research skills, applying them to "producing league table analysis" and "desktop research to support the identification of potential business development opportunities" refined my ability to conduct commercially focused and detailed research.
Team-working Skills: Supporting a "dynamic team" in a "fast-paced and varied" role inherently developed my collaborative and team-working capabilities.
Organisation & Time Management: The "fast-paced and varied" nature of the role, with multiple tasks depending on priorities , significantly strengthened my organisational and time management abilities, which are key business skills expected of LIFT interns.
Curiosity & Ownership of Work: The role required "natural curiosity" , and taking on diverse tasks like updating marketing materials and supporting BD teams fostered a greater sense of ownership over my work.
