PMO Consultant Review

I work within the PMO team supporting project delivery through invoicing, financial tracking, and reporting. My day-to-day includes processing invoices, maintaining budget records, and creating dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide visibility on project performance. I also support governance activities by keeping project documentation up to date and assisting stakeholders with data and reporting needs.

Yes, I was given a good level of responsibility throughout my placement. I managed key tasks. I was trusted to deliver accurate work, support project governance, and provide regular updates, which really helped me build confidence and independence in my role.

In this role, I’ve developed skills in Power BI dashboard creation, data analysis, and financial reporting. I’ve gained experience in managing invoicing processes, improving reporting workflows, and enhancing my Excel capabilities. I’ve also strengthened my communication and team working skills.

I received a lot of support throughout my placement. The team was always approachable and willing to answer my questions, no matter how small. I felt comfortable asking for help and was given clear guidance whenever I needed it, which made a big difference in helping me learn and grow in the role.

The company culture was really welcoming and supportive. The atmosphere was friendly, and there was a strong sense of teamwork. We had great team bonding days and social activities, which made it easy to connect with colleagues and feel part of the team from early on.
