Summer Vacation Schemer Review

Days varied depending on the practice area you are sat in. Generally though there were multiple sector-on focus sessions throughout the two weeks which were extremely informative - especially those that I was not sat in.
In between sessions and practice area work, we were encouraged to schedule chats with people around Taylor Wessing which provided an opportunity to fill the gaps in knowledge of the firm. People were really friendly and willing to dedicate time to have a chat which was really appreciated.

The Early Talent team clearly dedicated a lot of time to ensuring that we received a holistic understanding of the business - from pro bono workshops, client presentations and sector focus talks.
It was also helpful to understand the firm beyond the website, like the knowledge hub and lawyers at the firm who provide invaluable assistance to the wider firm in keeping everyone up to date.

I gained a lot of corporate experience and developed my time management skills. The two weeks are busy and you are encouraged to make the most of it. This highlights the importance of organisation and communication with your supervisors to update them on your whereabouts.

Everyone was so welcoming and willing to help and answer any questions. Despite busy schedules, people were willing to meet and offer their insights. Taylor Wessing really does stand true to its values and it is clear even from the kitchen staff how everyone contributes to the success of the firm.

I loved every second of being here and once again you can really tell how Taylor Wessing prides itself on every aspect of the firm and as a vacation schemer we really got a deep understanding of the firm.
It was evident that every event/interaction was clearly thought through to ensure that we received a valuable insight and fun too!
