Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

I was placed in a department at the start of the week and was assigned various task by the team. It entailed research tasks, working on deals, attending client calls... We would also have various sessions with the different departments to hear about them and ask questions. There was a group presentation to prepare during the week and an assessment. We also had two socials during the week to meet with trainees.

How would you rate the structure of the insight

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

It was extremely insightful. Discussing with trainees, associates and partners about the deals they were partaking in and understanding their work really allowed me to understand the type of work TW gets involved in. You get the chance to work on some of those deals and it is very interesting to see how the different teams work together. With the group presentation, we had to speak with the people who worked on it and also got to understand the behind the scenes of the various deals TW has worked on.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

This was one of the best part of Taylor Wessing. The culture is extremely welcoming and everyone is approachable and nice. They have an open office where partners, associates and trainees all work in. It is a very collegiate environment, but with high quality work, so you really get best of both world. They are all open to questions and happy to have a chat when you plan one.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I enjoyed it thoroughly. I could not have asked for a better week, it passed by super fast. The environment and the work you get to touch upon is incredible.
