Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Inputting of KPI’s, absence management, organising employee engagement initiatives and events, supporting charity challenge events, management PPE and distribution of workwear.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes I was given responsibility and trusted the organise events for the whole plant - this included the Christmas Event and annual Forvia Day event in February.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Yes - frequent meeting were had with my line manager and the rest of the team where we could discuss things and put forward any questions we had - so we could receive advice and guidance back on how to handle particular situations. I also had quarterly reviews with my manager were I could receive feedback and discuss my performance, these reviews I found really valuable and I made notes to take away how I could improve.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
General atmosphere varied - some days people were really high spirits other they were really low. The atmosphere really varied over the course of the placement.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I thoroughly enjoyed my time on placement. I really liked how no day in the office was the same. There was always some kind of project or task I could be getting on with, or getting in involved in. The opportunity were endless.

What advice would you give to others applying to Forvia
To be open-minded and not be afraid to try new things and get involved in new experiences. Allow yourself time and don’t be so harsh on yourself when you first join.
