Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I helped support the hse team with daily operations. Most of which were reporting daily, weekly, and monthly communications and KPIS. I also worked on projects that were set by my manager at the start of the year alongside departmental projects

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes I was, at one point I was the only person in my department so I took up lots of extra responsibilities. Even if that didn’t happen my manager let me take responsibility on certain projects that I enjoyed doing

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I think the atmosphere was generally good in the office and between supervisors/ gap leaders. However I think the shopfloor and operators could get negative

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Yes I did enjoy my placement, I enjoyed taking up extra responsibilities and it was also enjoyable that there was 12 other placement students onsite so you can socialise with them
