Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Helping people in the plant by fixing issues of a wide variety of things including printers, scanners and software like SAP. Making sure machines in the plant are cyber secure with patches and other software and help setting up workspaces by communicating with Contractors. Other tasks are also given throughout the year. Eg windows 11 upgrades
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I have been given more responsibility over the year of which I was comfortable with. If I need help with harder tasks there is always the ability to ask the team for help and advice

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have a deeper knowledge of IT infrastructure and what goes into maintaining and upgrading it. I also have developed more troubleshooting skills and soft skills like communication and time management

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
I think that everyone is mostly friendly and will help you if you need anything. It was a bit intimidating at first but once you get to know people you have no issues with talking to or asking people if you have questions.

I enjoyed my placement as I had a good office that I got along with and had no issues with doing any jobs that needed doing.
