Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Day to day involves maintenance and TPM management, involvement in document creation and management, company productities, fire safety testing and management, both 2D and 3D CAD and 3D printing, assisting in audits and management of KPI's
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Maintenance and TPM management through tools such as SAP and Microsoft apps, project management and problem solving, audit preparation and execution, contacting various individuals both internally and externally in different positions, management of fire safety from weekly test planning and fire extinguishers, raising purchase orders using various different company means.

Projects management, fire safety, 2D design, 3D printing and modelling, document creation and management, SAP systems experience, maintenance and TPM management, fire safety, overall facilities understanding, audit involvement and using various means of supplier communication

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received a variety of support and guidance from both office colleagues that have taught me how to manage a variety of things in many different ways and also from my manager giving 1 on 1 support when needed and guidance on projects set out by himself or other colleagues from both the engineering department but also other departments.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
It was extremely enjoyable especially as I was not given one task to do all the time my day to day would vary depending on the needs of the department but also what projects would be ongoing also allowing me to explore various different aspects of production as well as other things around site.

What advice would you give to others applying to Forvia
Its a great company to both learn new skills but also be able to grow into a better individual in your degree role, I would advise you to absorb everything like a sponge as you can learn a lot more than you expect in 12 months.
