Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I develop automated processes to collect, transform and visualise data to teams across our organisation. Most of the time this is in the form of a dashboard and sometimes its just a system to collect and store data so that it can be used across the business.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
The programme at work has been rewarding as I have got to work on many projects across the organisation with different tasks and problems. I have met many people who have helped me grow professionally.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have learnt how to transform data from unusable formats to clean and concise tables that can show key stakeholders the value in their data. I have also learnt how to communicate this professionally.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
The course at YorkSJ was very poor. Not covering much of the theoretically knowledge so that the applied knowledge could be understood but also many of the modules have not been useful for data science. Currently transferring to Nottingham
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I have can get an answer to a question of mine very quickly where I work and is often a well thought out and well structured response that greatly helps me.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Can be difficult to get answers from my teachers and most answers either don't answer my question or too ambiguous to properly understand.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
Most of the content does not apply to real world problems and I have only used knowledge and skills from 2 modules.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Many different activities are available : Walking challenges, fitness classes, wellbeing support, team nights out and smaller group activities like axe throwing for example.
