Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves delegating work to workers reporting back to my manager. Signing off health and safety documents and conducting general safety on site ensuring all our staff are working in a safe manner.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I would say I really enjoy it. As each day is challenging and presents new motivation. I also receive support from my work colleagues and management.

I've developed my skill in time management. Working under pressure and being organised.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is really difficult as I'm doing HNC. It's very difficult to keep track of everything but everyone who's involved put in there best effort to ensure things get done.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

All the support I need if there's ever anything holding me back or not working out my employer helps me sort the issue.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

It's been difficult with my training providers but we some how managed to push through it.

It has given me a better understanding of the day to day roles of different departments in my profession. The different building blocks that make up the industry and how each roles affect each other. So overall I can approach different tasks more confidently.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there have been a few over the years. Award ceremonies, apprentice meetings and team building events.

I've worked at different construction firms before landing my apprenticeship. The support you receive from CFS is not find anywhere else everyone looks after each other.
