Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
To quality check data and content, work with suppliers, prepare content for a monthly upload and ensure that areas of help are making improvements for customer satisfaction.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
fairly good. sometimes a stressful experience - although plenty of learning experiences.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
how to check data, working and communicating with suppliers, learning the company processes, business talk and sales. developed my microsoft excel skillset.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
its structured, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive line between the day job and the apprenticeship. deadlines still seem to take precedence.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
a fair amount of support. still considerations when the work may get stressful, but still seems like there is a lot of pressure to deliver.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
quite alot of support. room to talk about issues, concerns, offered support when things seem to be getting too hard.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
the qualification gives me a better understanding, forces me to learn more about the processes to give me a better understanding of why things work the way they do at the company and who is involved.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
there are charity events and volunteering, but its hard to get involved when there are time constraints or other outlying things that need to be addressed.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Pearson to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There are plenty of people here who are willing to help and teach you. I think that comes with the educational aspect, that a lot of the staff here come from teaching backgrounds and so are happy to teach you.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pearson?
come into the job with an open mind, there is plenty to learn and do but of course be wary of the amount expected from you.
