My role as a project Manager involves working with internal and external stakeholders as part of the technology team to drive value across different qualifications within Pearson. I monitor, track projects, create project timelines, address any risks issues and blocks, while making sure the team aligns with the scope and timeline.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme is very good, I am support by my colleagues and the training staff in my apprenticeship, everyone is always willing to share their knowledge and help you grow.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed a number of different skills as part of this role for example my communication skills as I liaison with senior members and I am asked to lead meeting and prioritise stakeholders visions and make sure they align with the overall business goals. I drive change across the development teams by working in an agile way to lead stand-ups and remove any blockers from the team.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured with a set training day a week, as week as a trainers support once a week with a workshop to help consolidate knowledge, work is regularly reviewed and you can always receive feedback
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive lots of support from my colleagues, everyone has a open door policy, as well as a day in the office we can all meet and collaborate on any support you might need.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have received lots of support, a training day to review content, a training session with the provider and a helpful workshop where the trainers are extremely knowledgeable and share lots of tips and tricks learned through out there time in the industry.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that it give me a better understanding of my role as a whole.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is opportunities like the team day to go into the office and socialise with your colleagues and learn a lot more.
