Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an HR Advisor, I provide guidance on employee relations, and day-to-day HR matters. I support managers with disciplinary, grievance cases, absence management, recruitment, and performance issues. My role also involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring legal compliance, and contributing to HR projects that support a positive and effective workplace.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed the programme as it allowed me to apply HR knowledge in real workplace situations, develop practical skills, and gain exposure to a range of employee relations issues. The balance of learning and hands-on experience has been both challenging and rewarding, helping me grow professionally.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have developed stronger skills in employee relations, particularly in handling complex ER cases. I've also improved my ability to interpret and apply HR policies consistently, strengthened my communication and note-taking skills during formal meetings, and gained more confidence in advising managers on sensitive issues.
