Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I support the successful delivery of projects and programmes by providing structure, governance, and coordination. Daily basis, I manage reporting, track project progress, maintain risk and issue logs, support planning and scheduling, and ensure projects follow agreed governance frameworks. I also coordinate with stakeholders and help improve project delivery processes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I thoroughly enjoyed my BA apprenticeship experience. It gave me the opportunity to learn and apply new skills in real-world projects, work closely with diverse teams, and gain valuable insights into how businesses operate and change. I especially enjoyed engaging with stakeholders and seeing how my work could make a positive impact. It was a rewarding and motivating journey that has strengthened my interest in business analysis as a career path.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Through my Business Analyst apprenticeship, I developed a strong foundation in analysing business needs, gathering and documenting requirements, and supporting the delivery of effective solutions. I learned key skills such as stakeholder engagement, process mapping, data analysis, and using tools like BPMN and user stories. The experience also helped me understand how to bridge the gap between technical teams and business goals, contributing to successful project outcomes.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Well structured and laid out; good material to work through at your pace with valuable prompts
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
There was time set aside for me to complete the course however I wasn't able to get real time project experience.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Adequate support - the portal is very user friendly and accessible content was available.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Although I didn’t get the opportunity to fully apply my Business Analyst skills in a dedicated BA role due to the restructure, the qualification has still been highly valuable in my current PMO role. It’s enhanced my ability to understand project requirements, engage with stakeholders effectively, and take a more analytical and solution-focused approach to problem-solving. The training has strengthened my overall contribution to project delivery and governance.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, I am the Deputy Chair of EmbRace, an employee resource group
