Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I come into work and I check my teams, emails and smart accessor to see if I have any work to do and completing if needed. Then after all is checked I either help the shop floor by taking payments, doing passport details and printing boarding passes if the shop is busy then I will spend some time shadowing colleges.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme as there is something new I get to try everyday. I also enjoy how all of the retail store/stores like to help eachother and give eachother advise as we all have different knowledge whether its about a destination or helping to book a holiday

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

There are new skills to learn everyday but I have developed better computer skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel like the programme is staged out well because if I need more time to complete something I will be allowed to extend the due by date if I speaks to my mentor and she agrees. I also like how there has been multiple resources made for apprentices to reach out to eachother eg teams chats and there and youtube videos for us to watch that provide information about lots of areas of TUI.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots as I have been working with her lot she is in the store often and I can easily ask the deptys or send emails.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I tend of send my mentor an email whenever I feel confused or worried about a bit of work and I usually receive an emails back within the same day or the next. I also think there are lots of resources we are given that guide us through.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like I will have better knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I think my work often do get together for birthdays etc and meet up outside of work. I also know that some stores do activities for charities etc like doing sponsored walks.

Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I believe that TuI is the best holiday provider company because we offer secure package holidays with everything sorted and included in the price while all the difficult stuff is sorted by somebody else and customers know it is being done professionally. We also provide travel insurance and many holiday extras that customers dont think of or dont think are important when booking online. We also are Abta and Atol protected that I think can be very meaningful to customers when they hear what it can really do.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
That it is okay to go into the job nervous about not knowing much about travel or the travel industry . As there is so much on the job learning that can be done by asking colleges or watching destination videos in your spare time. There are also several models that need to be completed within the first few weeks of working at TUI. There are people of all different stages working at Tui and we all give eachother our ideas.
