To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
I enjoy developing knowledge on the degree programme although this can be challenging and takes alot of own time/ commitment to undertake research and write assignments.
The Early Careers team are always on hand if you have any issues with your Training Provider/training programme.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Have been able to develop new and existing skills, developing a range of systems/ processes that reflect a number of the competencies expected by APM. Some of the key skills developed are:
Communication
Time Management
Problem-Solving
Risk Management
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
College/ Uni days were set to the same throughout the programme (e.g. Thurs/ Fri every two weeks)
At times it was a little unclear when External assessment would take place and had to wait for dates
How much support do you receive from your employer?
The careers team hold celebration and awards events & encourage use of volunteering days to get involved in supporting career fairs and school engagement work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
Later in the programme I was given access to a large bank of online resources which was a positive although could have done with this earlier in the programme.
Apprenticeship reviews were completed once a quarter although was not aware needed to generate evidence until later in the programme (effectively end loading).
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
The programme has given me a chance to upskill myself and the qualifications will have real value (Degree and Apprenticeship). This will enable me to build on my career with Pearson and may open up further career opportunities.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
I have not seen anything specific to the area I am studying and would be a nice addition to prepare for assessments etc...
