Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

i am a apprentice plasterer nd my day to day jobs consists of working in tenanted properties all around Wythenshawe. We carry out any repairs needed throughout the houses this ranges from small patch work to boarding and skimming full rooms, damp jobs and also fitting installation to buildings .
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy this programme as i am always learning and developing my skills and understanding of not just plastering but the construction industry itself

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learned a lot of people skills because i am always in houses with tenants and customers. I have also learned bits of joinery whilst working here such as fitting skirting.

our programme is organised well and is well organised i also feel it is easy to ask for help or advice when needed from either my line manager tutor or our apprentice helper
How much support do you receive from your employer?

We receive a lot of help from our employer weather that be management or other employees from without the company
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

we receive loads of help from our tutor who covers a wide range of plastering and is always asking where we think we can improve and then will help us to improve them skills and also boosts our confidence in our work
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

our training provider helps us to improve our general plastering knowledge and skills that we can then transfer in to wprk place he also helps with the plastering skills that we may not do as much as in work
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

we go in to schools around the local area helping to give advice about apprenteships. I am also taking part in the north west skill build challenge

Because it is a great company to work for as they are very helpful but also push you to get the best out of your apprentaship and everybody is sociable abd easy to talk too
