5/5
The programme is excellent. Both the university learning and the collaborative nature at Arm. The apprenticeship has it all. The teaching with BPP is inclusive and interactive creating a great learning environment, Online pre and post learning materials are a good standard and easy to absorb.Opportunities with Arm itself include courses and talks which add to the overall feel of continuous learning.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Excellent structure both with BPP and Arm. Good level of mentorship and teaching from both sides culminate in a great overall experience both at uni and at work. The learning in work helps my uni and the other way around too. I know both my lecture and work schedule plenty in advance and know what to expect coming up in the future.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Excellent support from my employer. Both a mentor on team to help out if I need anything and an industrial tutor to help with any uni related stuff. The early careers team are also very welcoming and friendly for anything I need to ask about outside of academic or work stuff. My manager is super supportive and the work culture is very flexible to allow you to be your best self.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Excellent support from the university as well. A good blend of course module forums and lectures along with plenty of helpful resources. A coach is assigned to you from the university who is super helpful and you can email them anytime. There is also resources online such as a library, student union and forums outside the course itself. There is some physical union locations as well such as Manchester.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I directly use the course content to help me improve my work. It is very relevant and well taught giving an excellent foundation in skills you may not have though about being self taught but are in fact very useful in the work environment. Both on a hard skills such as coding and soft skills such as DEI content, good communication skills and thought processes
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Lots of extra curricular activities from sports such as rock climbing and football through to board games and a ukulele club, foosball or video games. Plenty of opportunities to join coffee roulette and talk to anyone within the company over zoom or in person and team socials which have included escape rooms and meals out with my team.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Arm to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Phenomenal company to work for. Classed as a full time permanent employee from day 1 of your apprenticeship. Well paid. Good perks. Great opportunities to learn both within your roll, university and talks about areas of the company that are open to anyone to view. Great work life balance and excellent flexibility. Brilliant parental bonding leave and you're entitled to all work perks as any other permanent employee. It is just the best place to work
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Arm?
Be yourself. Put your passion for Arm and tech forwards. Don't be afraid to say you don't know and use the interviewers as collaborators to work with not just to assess you. They want to know you and they are just other human beings just like you. And lastly. Best of luck.
