Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My current role is within the property and asset management team at JLL. I arrange and attend inspections, complete reports, regularly communicate with our clients and our tenants as I currently manage 8 properties. I also assist my line manager on many different tasks which allows me to develop further skills.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme a lot as I have gained so much new knowledge and been able to meet so many different people on various walks of life. I think this has been a great opportunity for me to learn and grow academically and personally. Although it can get a little stressful at times with having university work and JLL work to complete at the same time.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

yes I have been able to develop my English skills as I have widened my vocabulary, my communication skills have improved, I have learnt more about leases, service charges, managing properties, filling out and submitting workflows. my organisation skills have greatly improves as well as my time management, also my people skills have improved.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

it wasn't as well organised in the beginning as there wasn't much guidance for us apprentices but I believe this is improving. but in terms of my rotations around the company I think this is well structured along with my university days/ catch ups.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive quite a lot of support from my line manager, he is very nice and always ready to help me if I need it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I do have weekly webinars and platforms where i can ask for help if needed, also my training officer from UCEM often checks in with me and if i ever need anything I just ask her
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

it helps me perform better because I am learning things that I am able to use in the role that I am in and the previous roles that I have been in, i do believe they do go hand in hand.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I am involved in an apprenticeship network team to help the upcoming apprentices needs and to support them where we can. it is also to help the outstanding apprentices network with each other so we all feel supported and included.

Why?
i would recommend JLL to a friend because I believe the work environment is quite nice and friendly, its a great way to learn on the job while gaining a degree, you are able to meet so many different people who could possibly further your career and support your growth.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLL?
I would say come in with an open mind as there are many rotations, be confident in yourself, not to worry too much as it can be daunting going into an environment like that but people are there to help, try to put yourself out there and have conversations with people, don't be afraid to ask for help, be yourself as your personality will shine through
