from the onset, I was assigned a technical tutor in addition to my manager, who provided a 6 month training plan with online resources, allowing me to build my skills.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There are many points of contact for support: Manager for most needs, technical tutor for help understanding concepts, apprenticeship manager for concerns regarding the programme, there is also an industrial tutor for other concerns as well as rotations and company based queeries.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Although base material and support is poor, generally there is individual support to help plug these gaps.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
Currently, university and work have very literal correlation. Certain skills are improved, such as maths and programming which are useful, but these are not directly linked to tasks.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are various volunteering opportunities, such as FIRST robotics, and many "clubs" and social groups. Events are regularly organised by the apprenticeship team.
