Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

my role involves data collection and analysis of things such as waste and resource consumption. it also involves working with other functions to ensure all projects go ahead take the environment into consideration and actively try and benefit or reduce our impact on it. I also get involved with wild animals on site not considered pests and am involved in the rewilding of site
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

it is very enjoyable and informative and if people are interested in the environmental management side of things i would recommend to anyone. its been great to meet new people both at work and on the course.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learnt a lot of new skills my knowledge on environmental governance has increased massively as well as how a business operates. my soft skills regarding how i present and manage teams has increased well and my confidence regarding data management and IT skills have improved. i have learnt about a professional and active workplace which allows me to understand what is expected of a colleague

i believe it to be very well structured and organised. it is flexible and plenty of support available

i recive an excellent amount of support in the form of 1-1 meetings with my manager, plenty of exposure to projects and the facets of the job. my schedule is very flexible to accommodate my studies
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

i receive a lot of support from the course there are plenty of methods of support available to me that are effective and easy to access
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

it is very beneficial as the role and course are designed together it allows for me to get real experience that benefits the course and allows me work both effectively.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

there are plenty of activities that are organised through work including sports, activities and engagement of all sorts. there are also of plenty training course opportunities for me.
