To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme as it is insightful, allows me to learn new models and theories that directly align with my job role which allows me to use and implement them. You learn that there is much more to managing than just being 'in charge' of people and telling them what to do.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt new things and expanded and things I had some little knowledge in. Things such as; Self development, People management, Coaching/leading, Leading leaders, Project and Financial management and Influencing and Communicating.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Its structured well and there is different aspects of learning such as E-learning, Webinars and Skills days. The webinars and skills days are really good and insightful but I am not a big fan of the E-learning. I get the idea behind it but this isnt the kind of learning that i prefer BUT it is backed up in the webinars and skills days
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive as much support as i need from employer to allow me to balance doing my day-to-day role and complete the work required for the programme. I am trusted to manage my own time and they remove any blockers i come across - They couldn't do more.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

When doing the programme, you are assigned a coach which helps keep you on track and gives you anything you need. My coach is really good as she keeps me on track, holds me accountable and helps in any way she can.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It helps me perform better as it gives you the knowledge behind models and theories and how to implement them effectively. It shows that no one is a finished article and its all about trying to improve myself and my team.

Yes, Premier foods do a lot for its people in regard to events and engagement. They have regular themed weeks around a plethora of things, some of which align with their jobs and others is just around keeping people happy and healthy.
They do events such as Christmas parties, football tournaments, days out to Christmas markets or the beach, create company competitions for walking activities, hiking walks and so on.

Why?
Its a great place to work and is always trying to improve in all areas from ways of working, working conditions, canteens, appearance, communication and much more. They do a lot for their people regarding engagement, keeping people happy, healthy and in work.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Premier Foods?
Go for it! The companies vision statement and objective shows that they are ambitious in growing and being sustainable by investing in its people, infrastructure and automation - Thats exactly what they are doing.
