Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am a Credit team leader in SME. I performance manage, coach and develop my team into a high performance culture. Our goal is to collect debt, reduce bad debt and help our SME customers become debt-free. We work with our DCA teams, outsource teams, Solutions, Complaints and Industry teams to support our customer's end-to-end journey and resolve all queries and disputes as quickly as possible.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the apprenticeship programme a lot. It's very hard work balancing a full time role with it, but the outcomes and development have been amazing.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have really learned how to bring my new skills to life in a team environment, in business projects and performance management. I've learned how to manage credit end to end, and how to work with the customer to understand their experience and how they manage their money effectively, deepening the customer relationship. I've also learned how to share best practice, remain positive and resilient in the face of financial challenges.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It's well structured and I know what to expect next. I am kept well informed of my progress and gaps.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive time from them to complete my work and I also reach out to the rest of the business for help in plugging my gaps, and inspiration on how to do so.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Kaplan have been truly amazing, shout out to my coach who has been super supportive of my additional learning needs, my illnesses and helping me manage my stress.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Extremely well - it has helped me tweak, adapt and become a better leader and supporter of my team, and other teams and leaders around me. It's rounded out all my skills and given me new skills and opportunities for development.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes- there are a lot of activities at work - especially with award winning networks and initiatives.
