Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In my role, I have to verify financial information about organisations and comparing it to the previous year. Whenever errors come up, I must make notes of these and communicate it to the audit team so that we can update them and communicate our findings to the clients.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

What I love most about this programme is how I am able to balance my work and studies. Being on this programme has made me realise the importance of putting in effort as you will get the results you desire. I enjoy working with the people on my team!
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned new short cuts in excel which has made my work much easier. I've also learned how to use different software apps while at work.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

This programme is well organised as they plan things ahead when it comes to booking us on jobs and our study leave. I feel that the programme is going smoothly and doesn't feel rushed at all.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a great deal of support from Moore Kingston Smith. My manager and my work buddy have been able to answer all my queries that I have while at work and it could be the smallest thing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a great amount of support from my training provider and the lecturers in helping me attain my qualification. The study materials and resources they have provided are useful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The material that I've covered with my tuition provider has been helpful and has given me a better understanding of my role when speaking to my work colleagues.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

At MKS there's a lot of social activities going on within the workplace, for example if you have interests in gaming, football and religion you can participate and sign up easily. There are so many community groups you can join which is great to know.

I believe that Moore Kingston Smith are actively championing equality, diversity and inclusion. I strongly feel that MKS have been accommodating so far on my journey in attaining my qualification. They are able to balance having a work life and a social life which has made it fun working here at Moore Kingston Smith!
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Moore Kingston Smith?
Do your research! It is crucial you know where you will be working and how the firm will support you. It is important you understand how the company's value and how it should align with your own morals. Just be confident in yourself!
