Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role primarily is in audit but I get opportunities to learn about different aspects of the business and service lines as my role isn't restrictive to one department, allowing for broader growth and variety in day to day tasks
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy it a lot so far, my intake are friendly and relatable. I love how thorough and concise the training has been and my team are amazing

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I've developed a lot of skills so far, mainly soft skills through teambuilding exercises and technical training which I have been able to implement in the workplace and other places

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Quite organised. I have a calendar that is booked out a year in advance which is quite handy
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive quite a lot,=. My buddies and seniors/managers are unafraid to assist me even in busy times which is quite helpful
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
They are quite good at sending reminders, making resources available and overall making sure everyoe is up to speed
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I learned a lot of terminology and associated ideas from my qualification that relates exactly to the work I do in the workplace. So it is nice how learning and working compliment each other nicely especially in the current stage i'm in.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are quite a lot which I enjoy. The workplace has done brilliantly at eliminating the negative stigma associated with corporate institutions being boring and soulless.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Moore Kingston Smith to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Being an apprentice and seeing/hearing about the experience of those in other firms, I would want someone like me to gravitate to a firm where I can only give positive testimony and assurance that this will continue throughout the program
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Moore Kingston Smith?
Research the role and qualification in detail, the AAT and ACA are not easy qualifications. To couple that with fulltime work doesn't make anything easier. Be prepared and know what you are ready to walk into.
