Associate (Placement) Review

I am an audit and accounts placement student so most of my day revolves around doing audit fieldwork. I have a schedule and am booked on jobs for many clients ranging from the technology sector to non-profit organisations. I have to come into the office two days per week and the rest I can WFH. However, some jobs may require me to travel onsite to the client's office to make the audit fieldwork easier.

Was given responsibility from the outset. I was being booked on jobs from the day I started. I was encouraged to speak with clients from my very first job to develop on the job. This much responsibility has tailored my development in audit throughout my placement.

I have developed many new skills during my placement. One of the most important ones being communication. This could be communicating with clients when asking questions about their systems, asking about key audit areas or just a general conversation to build a relationship.
But this could also be communication with colleagues. Audit fieldwork teams can consist of 3 or 4 people who would need to split tasks amongst each other and communicate to ensure a smooth process.
I have been able to develop this skill with these experiences.

Everyone who I worked with at MKS is friendly and approachable, whether this is a junior, a senior, a manager or even a partner. The company culture makes working at MKS enjoyable and rewarding. If I am stuck on anything, I am not hesitant to ask anyone anything. I get support throughout my jobs and also through training.
