Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a Tax-Assistant, I handle tax return computations, liaise with HMRC on client's behalf and support key compliance periods such as tax returns, P11D and PSA seasons. My role also includes solving client quires and assisting with a variety of employment tax related tasks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I've really enjoyed the programme so far. The firm fosters a positive working environment and actively supports growth and development. It has been rewarding to build my skills in a professional setting, gaining hands-on experience.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Since starting my apprenticeship in September 2023, I have certainly developed my technical skills in tax knowledge, improved interpersonal skills through regular client and HMRC interactions, and enhanced time management skills during busy compliance seasons. Also gained new skills in tax software, client handling and problem solving.

Very well organised. We are provided with a planner which provides us dates of upcoming study days, college days and any training days. Early Talent are very friendly and always happy to help.
