Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Currently, my day to day job involves getting acquisitions from devices in our case queue using advanced tools. sometimes we are also tasked with doing urgent jobs that come in.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i enjoy the work i do as well as the people i work with. I also enjoy my time with our apprentice training provider blue lights digital.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

on top of learning a lot about digital forensics and the computer science behind the evidence that we collect. Ontop of that i have also learnt alot about how the police works.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

At the beginning i believe there was a lack of structure for the program with things changing quite frequently, However this was the first time they were running such program and everything seems to be straightened out now
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support and feel comfortable going to any of my colleagues for help
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

our training provider blue lights digital is very supportive both at work and also outside of work. you feel comfortable and even encouraged to ask any questions you may have about the course or the work you do
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training we are provided is great as it helps you understand the science behind what your are doing. Working in digital forensics helps you know what buttons to press but the training provider helps teach you the context of why we press those buttons
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
