Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an accounts assistant, my daily responsibilities involves handling tasks in Credit Control and Management Accounts such as posting the cash receipts, which requires attention to detail. So my role is crucial in ensuring that the cash is allocated to the correct invoices. Additionally, I assist in reconciling the contra accounts, sending out any copy invoices to clients, analysing the nominal ledger files and posting the invoices onto sage. I work closely with other team members to ensure that everything is smooth and efficient.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

As an accounts assistant, I find my role both challenging and rewarding. I enjoy the precision and attention to detail required in ensuring the accuracy of the postings. The opportunity to work with financial data and contribute to the company's financial health is fulfilling.

I continuously learn and develop my skills to stay effective in my role. I've also improved my analytical skills, particularly in budgeting, allowing me to provide more accurate results. My programme is very well structured, providing a balanced approach to learning and professional development. I attend college one day a week. Additionally, every 10 weeks, I have a catch up session with my mentor. These sessions are invaluable as they ensure that everything is progressing smoothly both at work and in college.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer, which greatly enhances my professional growth and overall job satisfaction. They allow me to take time off work so that I'm able to revise more for an upcoming exam ensuring that i do achieve the pass. Overall, the support from my employer helps me balance my academic and professional commitments, encouraging continuous improvement and growth.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive excellent support from my training provider while working towards my qualifications. Having access to a wide range of learning materials, including textbooks, online resources, and study guides, helps in understanding complex concepts and preparing for exams.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

During my time at PKFSC, there has been many socials activities such as rounders, bingo and networking events (meeting the partners). We also have an annual summer party and christmas party.
