I support the finance team by assisting in managing the company’s outgoing payments and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it a lot as everybody helps me in developing my skills if I don't understand something. Also, i feel supported by my Apprentice mentor Adele Duncan, who always checks that i am managing the workload okay

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt new skills when dealing with invoices such problem solving when figuring out why invoices are overdue and making sure that i process them for payment

It is very well structured and i know exactly what lessons and classes i have to attend for each level

I receive a high level of support from my employers definitely

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

First intuition provide a lot of online resources to aid me in revising at home for any upcoming exams, such as YouTube videos, practice questions and practice mocks

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The information i learn links directly to my job role in accounts payable, helping me further understand the steps to processing invoices and understand the jobs necessary in a finance team and why they need to be done

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes we have an apprentice network team where we learn skills that would increase our employability and also we have opportunities to volunteer in the community
