The Product Owner is a key role in agile frameworks like Scrum, responsible for maximizing the value of the product delivered by the development team. They act as the voice of the customer, translating customer needs into product requirements, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure the development team is focused on the most valuable features. Essentially, they bridge the gap between the development team and the stakeholders, ensuring the product meets the needs of both
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme took up alot of time and think this could have been set up better at the outset of the apprenticeship onboarding/find out more sessions. I struggled with sending and uploading documentation to Lighthouse due to internal firewall restrictions from my employer, which i feel could have been worked through more efficiently as this added to the time and stresses of the apprenticeship. Overall however it was enjoyable to meet new people from different backgrounds, the trainers were generally supportive and engaging.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My apprenticeship enabled me to revisit some skills i felt i already had in a good place and gain different perspectives from trainers/peers on how these could be done differently. The apprenticeship also gave me insight to a higher level of thinking when it came to strategy and function budgetting.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Id say this was well organised, sessions always planned in advance. A e-learning centre for all course modules online and to refer back to. Managable amount of project work to take away and act on outside of any classroom sessions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Not much input from my employer throughout the programme. Although this necessarily wasnt needed, the learning and development team would check in every 3-4 months. My line manager attended monthly/bi-monthly reviews with the training provider. This was about the right level.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lighthouse were always available for support, nothing was ever to much of an ask. Great help when completing prep for EPA. Friendly and down to earth.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe it helps give me a broader understanding of the various components for senior leadership, enabling me to stretch myself in my current role to take on new challenges and different ways of thinking.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes but these tend to vary based on departmental activity rather than company wide.
