Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In my role I am developing machine learning models to aid business decisions. This involves discussing with stakeholders, collating datasets, building model and productionising these models. Models have included mortgage retention where we look to predict the likelihood of a mortgage sub-account remaining with CBS when the product matures.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the programme as has been good mix of hands on and workshop/lecture style learning
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

This is the first time I have learnt about the theory behind many data science techniques. It has developed my coding skills using python and techniques used to train models. I have learnt about time-series models that I had no previous experience with.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised. We have a long term schedule with the roadmap of the program and calendar invites for upcoming events. There has also been the flexibility to watch lecture back when not able to meet the weekly events
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Our employer allows us to take a day every week to complete the apprenticeship. At first this was met with some resistance from managers/product owners who did not know about it, however overtime we have had less issues.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My coach and tutor have always been there when needed. Also workshop leaders are happy to take any questions during the session.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification has helped me greatly in my day to day work. I hadn't learnt much of the connect before this programme so it has given me much greater confidence.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Not that many social events. There are opportunities to join sports teams and occasional networking events with colleagues from other areas.
