Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am an IT solutions architect working on one of our customer accounts and this involves managing a small team and analysing data gathered about end user experience to suggest where improvements can be made
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am enjoying the programme very much as it is challenging but also the coach and my fellow apprentices are very supportive and helpful. The content is engaging and the coach has an excellent delivery style and always encourages interaction during the workshops.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned some new skills so far on the apprenticeship, mainly around how I can use existing AI tools to assist me in my role. I have developed my researching skills and my document and presentation writing skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well structured and organised. There is a portal which outlines the schedule for the entire 12 months and contains all of the workshop material, community events, projects and everything I need to know. The workshops so far always start and finish on-time
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have the full support of my employer. So far my day-to-day work has not been impacted, only improved through involvement in the apprenticeship. My manager is engaged and interested in my progress.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

There is always support available from the provider, which I haven't yet had to utilise so it is difficult to rate. However I have no doubt that if I had any concerns or issues which arise over the next few months they will be able to help
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As the apprenticeship is only 1/4 completed this is difficult to say. So far I have been able to apply some of what I have learned in my daily role but not everything. This may change over time if opportunities arise to put the skills to use
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes - there is a golf society of which I am a member. Otherwise no, as we are all dispersed around the country and mostly working at home

Fujitsu is a supportive company to work for with a commitment to its staff and also wellbeing, sustainability and diversity matters. There are many opportunities to progress, and being sponsored in an apprenticeship - even late in a career - is evidence of this
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fujitsu?
Show that you are committed to delivering excellent service to Fujitsu's customers, that you are committed to learning and progressing, and that you are interested in contributing to improving society and the environment
