Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work in an audit team of around 30 people completing all areas of the audit file. I help graduates with their audit work, I am responsible for leading audits and managing conflicting responsibilities with clients and managers. My daily tasks involve organising and communicating with managers and clients and ensuring the audit is moving smoothly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme, I have learnt a lot and had exposure to different clients, industries and responsibilities.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to manage my time, be organised, use accounting software and develop my communication skills. I communicate with clients on a daily basis, whether that is face to face, through calls or via emails. I have learnt how to manage a team and keep graduates motivated and on track to reach deadlines.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is organised well. I have set days which I am in Kaplan (tuition) and clearly know what is expected on each day of tuition.

My employer is extremely supportive and are very willing to help.

I have help in terms of the daily tuition and extra support they provide with kaplan online tutors who are available at any time.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel they go hand in hand and I am learning about aspects of my role in kaplan.

Yes
Why?
They are flexible in terms of working from home and being in the office/on client site. The managers are very supportive and approachable. You can learn a lot and get a lot of responsibilities.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PKF Smith Cooper?
I would say, get involved with different aspects in terms of different sections of the audit file, socials and speak to different people. Learn how to manage your time with study, work and personal life.
