Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Involved with developing colleagues around the Society - delivering Corporate Induction, embedding mentoring for colleagues, supporting the talent process and delivering training. I work closely with most members of my team, and external colleagues when they request support with their development.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme felt like it got off to a slower start as we had to cover things such as our organisation and the market, as well as our values and strategy which I had some knowledge of already. But since getting into the actual L&D content it has been really interesting

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned new skills such as facilitation, designing and delivering training and developed existing skills too

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised. We have regular catch-ups with our tutor, are able to speak to our apprenticeship leads about any feedback we have. We have regular progress reviews to make sure we are on track and received an overview of the programme at the very beginning, so can visually see how we are progressing month on month through the content
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support. My team and colleagues are all very supportive, helping me with anything I get stuck on and thinking of what projects I can take on to help build on my experience and skills. Our apprenticeship leads regularly check in too to see how we are getting on and ask for feedback
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lots of support. We are able to ask questions any time. We have regular reviews with our training provider and manager, and also progress reviews to ensure we are on track
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has helped me to develop the skills I need to progress in my career and aim for the next role, and has helped me to have a better understanding of why we do things the way we do currently.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are plenty of networking events for colleagues to be a part of. We have lots of volunteering opportunities to be a part of, and sports events are hosted too but a bit less frequently.
