Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Quality Control across the factory and helping with the development of one of the new factories going through commissioning. As well as that getting in touch with third party suppliers to help with improvements on site, and general tasks across the factory.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
To begin with, with a new and emerging site it was difficult to find my place in the place of work. Over the period of time I have managed to find my role in the industry and help wherever I can making it more enjoyable for myself and helping everyone else at the same time. I enjoy coming to work every day

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have become a lot more confident at work and out of work. I am able to confidently carry out tasks on my own and to a good standard. I can commuicate with other professionally and have learnt to really put myself into my work.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
There could definitely be more structure to my apprenticeship, we were given a very long list of tasks to achieve by the end of the apprenticeship, if we could have these due by certain dates... I feel like these would be more manageable to achieve.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive some support from my employer but a lot of support on site. My site understands my learning is not limited to what my employer does, it is essential across the site so I work with everyone wherever I'm needed to understand the business more.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
If I have any questions they are always willing to help by email or even having a one to one meeting with me. However I think a lot is expected of everyone by coursework on top of working full time.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
For me, the qualification is less applicable to my job role, however the foundations of learning, material science is still helping me understand the foundations that I need to apply to my learning on site.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Due to being an isolated site, I don't get involved in many extra-curricular activities.
