Multiskilled maintenance technician in a manufacturing plant, daily role includes carrying out PPMs, reacting to mechanical and electrical failures on plant to ensure minimal downtime, studying critical assets to increase reliability through root cause analysis after breakdowns occur to prevent failures happening in the future.
PLC fault finding
fault finding through HMIs
mechanical repair and maintenance
fluid power and mechanical fault finding.

the structure of the apprenticeship is good with the first 2 years at college full time and part time, then its getting stuck into the role with hands on experience

The support from Make and your TDA is there when you need it, the remote communication makes it easy to get in contact with your assessor when necessary.

the qualification and technical skills learnt at college definitely helps to understand processes and engineered systems in the workplace.
