Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a data analyst apprentice, my role involves collecting, preparing, and analysing data to identify trends and insights. On a day-to-day basis, you will gather data from various sources, apply statistical methods, and create reports or visualizations to present your findings to stakeholders. We use Power BI in creating these and my apprenticeship allows me to branch out to different analysis tools. Collaboration with team members is key, as you will work together to support decision-making processes. This apprenticeship provides valuable hands-on experience in data analysis tools and techniques while enhancing your analytical and communication skills.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed my data analyst apprenticeship program. It has provided me with invaluable hands-on experience in data collection and analysis. QA offer guidance and mentorship, which has exponentially elevated my learning. Additionally, collaborating with team members on projects has been rewarding. Overall, this program has been significant in developing my analytical skills and preparing me for a successful career in data analysis.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Power BI, Power query, english and maths skills through writing use guides and using DAX formulas to perform calculations between tables.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well. I have been provided with constant support from work and from QA. I get constant feedback and help from both organizations.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer. I have a great manager who I frequently have one to ones with. I have a buddy who is further in the program than me to support me and I have a great team of data experts who are very willing to help and guide me. I also have a mentor who I meet with on a monthly basis to discuss my program and workload.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a lot of support from my training provider. My trainer is great, available and always giving very detailed feedback on the work i produce.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The more I learnt the more I find it applicable to work and am able to apply myself and skills to help my team.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I attend events at least once every month. These are networking events, apprentice events, data events.
