Generally my qualification allows me to become more skilled as an engineer, sometimes completing tasks I wouldn't complete at work like coding. This is beneficial for some amount of time but fells disconnected from my role at times due to multiple modules including this type of work.

There are many extra-curricular activities to be involved in at work such as football teams, hiking groups and charity events which are encouraged by my employer with a number of days off work each year for charity work.
