Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I spend a lot of my time working with academic staff and other professional services staff to help support them and improve our processes. I am a part of the whole employee life cycle, from recruitment to leavers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I extremely enjoy my programme it offers me so many learning and development opportunities and I feel so supported.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt hundreds of skills and could not list them all, starting here was the best decision I mase, I have also learnt so much about how higher education institutes differ from private organisations.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is structured very well, it gives me variety and I know what will be happening at what time of year. Such as, my end point assessment will begin in September but we will start discussions about it more in June.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is the most supportive place I have been, not only do I have constant opportunities to develop, I feel so welcomed and would feel comfortable to raise any issues or concerns if they arose.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I am very supported, my college lecturer is so helpful and she helps me with the course content, then someone form the apprenticeships team gives me regular meetings to see how I am getting on, but I know I could contact them at any point if I needed to
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like I have more knowledge in my role and it helps me to better understand policies and processes, and any other regulations. Also, it helps give me perspective on general HR, not just University specific HR.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have networking events such as conferences and away days very regularly, I have made many friends and formed close working relationships with many other staff which really helps me in my role. There are also apprenticeship specific networking events, so you can meet people in your same position.

Why?
The support here is amazing, and the roles and opportunities that Oxford provides is incredible, I love it here. I feel like I always have the chance to learn new things and would be supported in doing so. Also, the benefits are amazing and it really encourages my work-life-study balance.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to University of Oxford?
You need to be confident in yourself and your work, you will find the right role for you here as there are so many opportunities for you. It may feel intimidating as it is such a profound organisation, but I work with some of the best people.
