Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role includes working with clients to better their situations regarding problems with their hardware. This can be anything related to the hardware itself down to the software and programs that they use. If the users have any problems at all they call my team and we try and fix the issue.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy the programme I am on as I really enjoy the technicalities I face. The job role and the academics I do for this apprenticeship is not only great for improving my knowledge but I am also surrounded by individuals that are really upbeat and help me keep on track.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have always had a passion for technology and had some knowledge in the field. This apprenticeship has allowed me to develop on my already existing knowledge and helped enhance it by providing me with real world problems in which I have to troubleshoot and solve and also study for the academic side.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme that I am on is very well structured. They repeatedly ask for feedback and act on it. This is great as it creates a great atmosphere between us apprentices and the company we are working for and allows us to keep communicating ensuring there is no confusion with anything up and coming.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Any issues that I have ran in to it has been very easy to approach my employer about. Every time they have been more than willing to work with me with any of my issues. This a really nice as I feel valued as an employee and feel welcomed to a great family.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider offers so much support its great. Never have I felt like I have been challenged to the extent that I would not be able to complete the task. If I ever do feel like I am struggling with something it is really easy to reach out to them and they then provide me with as much support as I could need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My training that is being supplied is heavily tailored to my job role. After every session I have with my training provider I feel like I take away something that I use in my daily work load. Weather that be a better understanding of certain applications or even a better understanding of IT concepts that will help me trouble shoot more effectively.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Not so much as I spend a lot of my personal time with my partner doing our own hobbies etc. This is not to say that there isn't a lot of opportunities for me to do so as I have seen so many company wide events and activities that look like a lot of fun. There have also been times where I have previously attended company lunches and meals which were really nice.

Would you recommend Node4 to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They are a great and welcoming company with such a broad outreach in all sectors of IT. They also have such a good atmosphere that anyone could come and feel welcomed and have a good time. There are so many opportunities to collaborate and even change job role within the business.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Node4?
Just be open and be yourself. No one judges and everyone is welcomed. As long as you work hard and have a good ethic about you, you will be fine. Just enjoy every moment that comes your way when interacting with the company or participating on behalf of the company.
