Overall Rating

2 /5

The Overall Rating is the average of all the ratings given in each category. We take those individual ratings and combine them into one final score!

1.5/5 - Overview of Role
2/5 - Skills Development
2.2/5 - Structure and Support

Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
Working within the operation to manage safety, continuous improvement, and working towards new goals and new achievements within the company (Kaizen, GEMBA etc.)
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
1/5
Now, a lot. Previously, it has caused significant poor mental health which has caused me to be referred for therapy.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
2/5
At this site, yes. At my previous site, only in the first month or so. Then it became very stagnant.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
Not great. There is little to no communication with head office being based on another site. There are also less opportunities for those who are not based at head office.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
1/5
A little. The on-site help is significantly improved now I have moved sites, however it was abysmal previously. This new site has saved the ratings.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
A lot! The university are really helpful, and they are the most significant impact on my working hours, and will cause me to push towards my goal significantly.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It is important. There are things I have picked up from university which have definitely helped my understanding of the job, however the two should go hand in hand.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
A lot of the events which are arranged for head office clients are inaccessible to those who do not work there. There are also invites sent out to specific cohorts, even though they have not previously been delivered to previous cohorts. It is good that they are advancing, but it needs backdating.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend CEVA Logistics to a friend?
No
Why?
I have had a really poor first year. It was not supported by the provider, there were little to no interactions with those who matter to the operation, and the management at my previous site were rather disrespectful to the amount of learning which needed to be done to ensure that I could maintain my qualifications with the training provider.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CEVA Logistics?
Make sure it is well researched. Many of the newer applicants seem to have connections to the company, therefore it would make sense to have someone within the company if you apply. There is a slight sense of nepotism, however well hidden it may be. Furthermore, ensure that you get in at head office, not another site, as that is the only place where you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge into other departments.
