Partnering my business area, promoting the people agenda for the organisation and how this can support business decision-making. Coaching and advising managers on large scale HR projects including restructures, talent, TUPE and engagement initiatives
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The workshops were really informative, and there was a good blend of theoretical and practical sessions, with good follow-up support. Initially I was in a very small cohort which I don't feel worked quite so well as there was not as much interaction in the practical elements, or viewpoints to consider when working in groups
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed better listening and questioning skills which aids informal coaching conversations held with managers on a daily basis. I now have a better appreciation of personality types and emotional intelligence which means I can adapt my communication style better depending on my audience.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well organised - all workshops were diarised at the beginning of the course along with 1:1 meeting tutor meetings. If any dates had to change plenty of notice was given, and new dates suggested. The content of the course was well structured with a good theoretical foundation given prior to moving onto practical sessions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My daily tasks and interactions meant that I was able to put elements of the course into practise throughout the programme. My manager was also supportive and ensured that I could get involved in projects that would support my development
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I had monthly 1:1 calls with my tutor where we would discuss my progress, areas to focus on, and what was outstanding. These helped to keep me on track.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

As a CIPD member I have access to networking events. At work we also have groups and initiatives we can get involved with (Women's Empowerment Network, celebration of key events etc)

Yes
Why?
There is a commitment to create a people-centric culture which values it's staff and what they bring to the organisation. I have the opportunity to develop my skills and get involved in a variety of projects so the work remains challenging yet stretching.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CEVA Logistics?
Be prepared to work in a fast paced environment, and be prepared to face change on a regular basis (whether that be changes to processes, systems, decision making etc).
