Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Managing project critical tasks, taking meeting minutes and cascading them out to the respective workstreams, managing customer facing documents as well as presentations and meetings
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it to around 70% of the time, due to my previous job role which was warehouse facing did not contain much development compared to other warehouses. Also, some assignments are not well taught/laid out and KSB's are not explained properly/supported enough.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Not very well, there is no workplace structure for the first 12-18 months for a new apprentice. I felt dead in the water and after voicing my concerns multiple times this was always brushed off until new central management was in place. Better, but still needs improvement.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My direct line manager is extremely supportive, however from a central perspective as an apprenticeship provider my cohort (2023 start) did not have much support at all with exposure to experience different areas of the business to find what works best for me and to learn/develop myself further
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My direct tutor at university is extremely reliant with support on my academics, always encourages new perspective, helps me evaluate my lessons learnt as well as my achievements and always approachable. Extremely happy
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Only half due to the experience in everyday work does trump the theory as this is hands on experience, this however is personal as my learning style is more hands on. Moreover, the theory which has been provided has helped me as i refer back to it often
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

very few, I have had to arrange some myself with other apprentices, other than a single introductory half day and one other day in our central office to do a course, no extra curricular activities have ever been planned (yet) and this feels limiting to my development

Would you recommend CEVA Logistics to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The working environment is incredible, there is a family feel to the business and there is lots of support (in the right teams)... the team in my new role has been incredibly supportive to development and has now provided me with opportunities outside of my apprenticeship scope.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CEVA Logistics?
Give it a go!! Do not be shy to say to senior management what you are missing from your apprenticeship. There is room for improvement, however it is a great experience to be a part of the journey to that improvement.
